The Pearl to Offer Viewing of "Hofmann's Potion" on website

September 18, 2022

For Immediate Release

The Pearl Psychedelic Institute is offering a viewing of the film, "Hofmann’s Potion."

Access to the viewing will begin on Monday, September 26th, and will end at midnight on Friday, September 30th.

“Hofmann’s Potion” traces D-lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) from its initial discovery in 1943 by Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hofmann, when it was hailed as a powerful tool for the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction and to provide a window into schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, through its heyday in the 1960s counterculture, to its present status as a banned or controlled substance in many Western countries.

The Pearl’s Dr. Raymond Turpin wrote about the film, "Since the discovery of the psychoactive effects of LSD in 1943 by its creator, Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, LSD was the most widely researched psychedelic in North America up until the 1970s.  "Hofmann's Potion" explores the story of this controversial and misunderstood compound by interviewing those who were most associated with the research in Canada and the United States.  This is an opportunity to learn about the promise that LSD once had as a psychotherapy adjunct in the words of these brilliant and courageous researchers.  This documentary is a gift to a new generation of psychedelic researchers and explorers.  Enjoy!"

To view the film, simply donate a minimum of $10 at https://www.pearlpsychedelicinstitute.org/donate

Once we've received your donation, you'll be sent a password prior to September 26th that will allow access to the film.
